What is Platformer Rank?

Welcome to Platformer Rank!

Platformer Rank is an alternative ranking system that focuses on ranking players based on their top 10 hardest completions, incentivizing consistency over jumping to the hardest of the hard right off the bat.

A player's total score is calculated on an exponential decrease from 1 to 10, meaning the 1st hardest is multiplied by 1 and 10th multiplied by 0.2, with the previous multiplier always going down by the same amount relatively (~0.84):

1, 0.84, 0.70, 0.58, 0.49, 0.41, 0.34, 0.29, 0.24, 0.2.

Level ranks are based off of TPL and legacy list first, then from Pemonlist second, and finally from player opinions in this server if there is no other applicable method.

Non-List Accomplishments

Non-list completions such as speedruns/deathless completions require 2+ reliable opinions to count on the rankings. If you beat something that qualifies for this, please submit it as normal.

If you beat a level that is already in your top 10 in a different way (ex. Null Deathless), the easiest form of the level will be removed from your top 10.

Results

At the end of each year, the results will be frozen and the top 25 players on the rank will be featured in a video showing highlights from their completions.

All players who participate in a "season" will be given its respective "Ranked (Year)" role, and players who make it to the top 50, 25, 10 and 1 will have special roles for the occasion as well.
